Buzzed skiing is drunk skiing

What the heck is the big whoop-dee-doo that Bode Miller has skiied drunk? EVERYONE skis drunk at some point or another (well ok not everyone, but if you haven't you are missing out)! What do you think we do in the lodge during breaks? I want to know who these people are that are so scandalized by this.
